Today another tear fell down my face,
I realized I can't do this without God's grace.

I fought the feelings that raged in me,
I didn't want anyone else to see.

Why is it when you hurt me the pain was so deep,
all I could do was sit and weep.

Love me for who I am that's all I ask,
for I can no longer wear this mask.

Your hold on me is tight,
why must you put up such a fight.

You say you love but why can't you see,
all I want is to be free.

For now I'm living a life for me,
free to be what I want to be.
